Md. Hasib Hasan

AI Researcher • Computer Scientist • Graduate Student

Md. Hasib Hasan is an AI researcher whose work bridges artificial intelligence, computer vision, and interdisciplinary social research. After completing his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Independent University, Bangladesh, he continued his academic journey by pursuing a Master's degree in Development Studies at the same institution.

His research focuses on applying Artificial Intelligence to solve practical societal problems, including healthcare, cultural heritage preservation, computer vision, and digital humanities. Through WallVoice24BD, he combines modern deep learning techniques with historical preservation, ensuring that important visual records remain accessible for future generations.

Besides research, he has served as a Teaching Assistant, Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador (Beta), and Research Assistant, mentoring students while contributing to numerous research publications in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning.

2022

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science

Started undergraduate studies in Computer Science at Independent University, Bangladesh, with a minor in Sociology, building a strong interdisciplinary foundation in computing and social sciences.

2023

Teaching Assistant

Joined the Department of Computer Science as a Teaching Assistant, supporting Computer Organization & Architecture and Database Management System courses through tutorials, laboratory guidance, and student mentoring.

2024

Research Assistant

Joined Professor Anwer as a Research Assistant, conducting research in Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Healthcare AI, and Digital Heritage Preservation.

2024

Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador

Became a Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador (Beta), promoting cloud computing, Microsoft Azure, Artificial Intelligence, and technical learning through community events and workshops.

2026

Graduate Studies

Completed B.Sc. in Computer Science and continued academic research by pursuing a Master's degree in Development Studies at Independent University, Bangladesh.

Principal Investigator

Professor Mohammed Anwer, PhD

Professor • Researcher • Academic Leader

Professor Mohammed Anwer is one of Bangladesh's distinguished academics whose career spans more than three decades in engineering, applied mathematics, computer science, computational science, and interdisciplinary research. He earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University, USA, following both his Master's degree from the same institution and his Bachelor's degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

As one of the founding faculty members of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), Professor Anwer played a central role in establishing and developing the School of Engineering and Computer Science. Throughout his career he has served as Professor, Director, Dean, Registrar, Proctor and academic administrator, helping shape engineering and computing education at IUB.

His research interests extend across Computational Fluid Dynamics, Climate Science, Artificial Intelligence, High Performance Computing, Medical Signal Processing, Dynamical Systems and Applied Mathematics. His work has been published internationally and has contributed to research in engineering, computing, environmental science and artificial intelligence.

Graduated from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) with First Class distinction.

Completed M.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Arizona State University, USA.

Doctor of Philosophy

Received PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University, specializing in turbulent fluid mechanics. Worked on research sponsored by NASA, DARPA, AFOSR, and ONR.

1993

Independent University Bangladesh

Joined Independent University Bangladesh and became one of the pioneering members responsible for developing engineering and computing education.

2003

Served as Director of the School of Engineering and Computer Science, leading curriculum development, research laboratories and academic expansion.
